Sihle Insurance Supports Florida’s 15,000 Special Olympics Athletes;
Gift Improves Lives of Children, Adults With Intellectual Disabilities
ORLANDO, FL – Special Olympics Florida announces its newest year-round sponsor is Altamonte Springs-based Sihle Insurance Group.
Sihle’s gift will help Special Olympics Florida to fulfill its mission of providing year-round sports training and competition to 15,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their family, as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem, socialization skills, and the life skills necessary to be a productive, respected and contributing members of their communities.
In addition to financial support, Sihle is planning on engaging its employees and their families to volunteer at Special Olympics events, generate additional grassroots funds for the charity, and to raise awareness about Special Olympics, and those it serves, in the communities where Sihle does business.
“We were looking for a charity where we could develop a long term relationship and where the Sihle staff and their families could become personally involved. We feel Special Olympics Florida is a perfect fit for us,” said Sihle Insurance Group President Traci Sihle. “We’re honored to be a sponsor of Special Olympics Florida. Special Olympics helps individuals experience success and independence in a collaborative environment and we share this same philosophy within our organization.”
“It’s only through the support of companies like Sihle, and individual supporters, that we are able to offer our array of programs and services, throughout Florida, at no cost to the athlete or their family. This is critical so that no one is left on the sidelines due to financial barriers,” said Monty Castevens, President and CEO of Special Olympics Florida.
